The presentation was delivered by Managing Director Peter George, who was recently appointed to lead Amazon Payment Services, a payment processing service that operates across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region with a mission to empower online businesses with a simple, affordable, and trusted payment experience. A 10-year Amazon veteran and a proven leader with a passion for building the future of digital commerce, George brings over 20 years of experience in digital services to the role.
During his presentation, George spoke about the customer-obsessed philosophy and how it can be harnessed by payment service providers to identify customer pain points and craft a more convenient, seamless and secure payment process.
