Apple Pay through NAPS is a mandate requirement for all Apple Pay transactions using local debit cards in Qatar. Following the QPAY Apple Pay mandate from the Central Bank of Qatar, Amazon Payment Services has made the necessary technical updates to align with QPAY guidelines and ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements.

According to the mandate, Apple Pay transactions will not support Auth & Capture for local debit cards. Only Purchase transactions will be supported.

QCB MID Portal Certification Steps

Complete the Apple Pay certification changes on the QPAY MID portal following these steps:

Access QCB MID Portal

Login to your QCB MID portal using your merchant credentials.

Navigate to OEM Settings

1. Click on OEM dropdown from the top navigation list
2. Choose Enable from the dropdown menu

Configure Apple Pay OEM Type

Under the OEM Type configuration:

1. Choose Apple Pay as the OEM Type
2. This will display the Apple Pay certification form

Upload Payment Processing Certificate

1. Choose the existing Payment Processing Certificate (.p12) which is already uploaded on the APS account - Apple Pay settings
2. Ensure the certificate is valid and matches your Amazon Payment Services configuration

Enter Certificate Details

1. Key Password: Enter the same password used while creating the payment processing certificate (.p12)
2. OEM Merchant Id: Enter the Apple Merchant Identifier used for the Apple Pay integration (available in your Apple developer account)
3. OEM Merchant Name: Enter the Apple Merchant Name used for the Apple Pay integration (available in your Apple developer account)
4. Application Id: Enter 1.0.0.0 as specified by QPAY requirements

Submit Configuration

1. Review all entered information for accuracy
2. Submit the certification request
3. Wait for approval from the QCB portal

Amazon Payment Services Account Configuration

Once the QCB MID portal certification steps are completed, Amazon Payment Services will configure your sandbox account for QPAY Apple Pay processing. If your setup uses a single account across multiple regions and currencies, we will create a dedicated sub-account for Qata where all Apple Pay transactions in QAR currency must be routed to this new sub-account.

Only PURCHASE command can be used for Apple Pay transactions in Qatar.
