Apple Pay through KNET

Apple Pay through KNET is a mandate requirement for all Apple Pay transactions in Kuwait. Following this mandate, Amazon Payment Services has made the necessary technical updates to align with KNET's guidelines.

According to the mandate, KNET Apple Pay transactions will not support Authorization command or recurring operations.

  2. Once the new Merchant Identifier is created, Under Apple Pay Payment Processing Certificate, click "Create Certificate"
  3. Ensure that the question "Will payments associated with this Merchant ID be processed exclusively in China?" is ticked with the default option (No)
  4. In the dialog that appears, select the CSR file downloaded from the KNET portal then click Continue
  5. Click Download, A certificate file (a file with a .CER file extension) appears in your Downloads folder
5

Upload Certificate to KNET Portal

  1. Once the Payment processing Certificate is created, navigate to the KNET Portal - Apple Pay Form and Click on "CER Upload" and upload the .CER file from your local environment
  2. Click on the Submit button to apply the changes

Amazon Payment Services Account Configuration

A new sub-account on the production will be created for Apple Pay (KWD) in order to support the new migration without disruptions.

Once the above certification steps are completed:

  1. Update Application: Update your existing application to use the new Apple Merchant Identifier for Apple Pay - KWD transactions
  2. Map Transactions: Map the transactions to new sub-account configurations
  3. Integration: Follow the Apple Pay section to complete the integration. Note that for KNET Apple Pay, you can only use either Hosted Checkout or Custom Integration methods
